Hi All - I have a question that has me completely perplexed. I am using version the 2015.3 release of AE and creating a project with a composition which is 1920x1080 with a square pixel PAR. In that composition I have some type—the word "CONVERGE"—in the typeface Gotham. When I type it on the screen, no matter what I do, the type is vertically distorted (see screen shot) by exactly .91—the DV non-square pixel ratio.
I have gone through every setting I know how to yet, all the type is always distorted by this same amount. Why does my type seem to be ignoring the PAR?
Toggling the PAR correction switch on the preview window has no effect (since it is already in square pixels) and I am working on a Mac with a monitor with square pixels. Any ideas on whats going on here?
Thanks in advance all!
Did you check your character panel for horizontal or vertical scaling?
I knew it had to be something simple that I was overlooking! It must have been accidentally scrubbed at some point (although the fact it was so close to the .91 PAR is weird!) since I never touch the scaling there. I'm just glad it was so simple.
Thanks for helping me tease this one out!
