What is it exactly are you copying over to the server? In other words are the FLV and SWF residing in the same domain or is one of them located on another server? If you answer yes to the latter then I would have to say you are trying to do what the link below says you cannot. It’s the first line under “For Flash Player 8:”
If you answer yes to the first part of the second question then I would check to make sure that the URL is valid.
No, they are both on the same server in one file with sub directories. I am suspecting that, rather than a security issue, it is a web server config issue: In fact, I'm 99.9% sure, but I very well may be wrong! All swfs play no problem, it's only the FLVs that don't play--only when they are viewed from the URL.
I suspect the 0.01% might have it... Could you be exporting with local playback security set to 'access local files' instead of 'access network only'?
