Which version of Lightroom do you have?
Which operating system and version?
Is it the same USB as yours with which you are connecting her Iphone?
Is it specific to one catalog?
Thanks for answering. I found what is causing the problem: if more than one user on the same Mac is having Lightroom open, this problem occurs. Quiting Lightroom for the inactive user "resolves" the problem. The problem is very strange, because trying to import from a hard disk folder works fine if multiple instances of LR are active
I am using Yosemite 10.10.5 on an iMac
Same problem here, this used to work for me until LR 6.6 and I'm sure I've updated to iOs 9.2.1 since the last time I tried this.
Other people have said it's XMP files on the phone that are the problem, all I know is LR is just spinning when I select my iPhone on IMPORT. ADOBE ?????
Mac OS 10.11.5, rebooted, opened my phone (=logged in past the PW).
Oh, I don't have another user on my Mac.
I am also having this issue since the latest upgrade to Lightroom 6.6. I am the only user and just the week before I imported just fine. I also have the latest version on Mac Os 10.11.5. and the latest version of iOs 9.3.2.
So, I managed to get Lightroom to see the Iphone. The only way Lightroom 6.6 is seeing my photos is when I connect my iPhone after I already have Lightroom open and clicked on import. After that I plug in my Iphone and then select it in the source list, and then the photos will appear. If you click off the Iphone selection and need to go back on, you will have to unplug your Iphone and repeat.
Nice one Jeffrey, this worked for me as well. Great tip!
Hi. This did not work for me. I have current LR with El Capitan. no matter what order I do "import" and plug phone in, it only sees photos from the last few 5 days. And my last upload was at least a month ago and so that is about 200 photos that it is not seeing. Any suggestions? I have uploaded most recent iPhone operating system but still not working...
