I am new to the forum but have run into a problem with the latest update that is quite frustrating. I am working on a Mac Pro using AMD FirePro D500 3072 MB : 64 GB, on OS 10.11.3. After installing the latest version of After Effects (CC 13.8) I have started seeing these thin lines appear when I'm creating a new text layer. It seems to show up on letters that have a space in the middle such as x, A, o, etc. This has happened on 3 separate projects and on different fonts and colors. It's also worth mentioning that there are no effects applied to these layers and they are not linked to anything else.
Notice between the middle of 5 and the lower area in 0.
Notice the bottom of the x's. It's hard to see in this picture but they are at the bottom of each one.
I have tried a few things such as purging the memory and disk cache, restarting the program, changing fonts and colors, etc. I'm not sure what else to try.
Please let me know if you guys have any helpful tips or if you are running into the same issues.

In Preferences > Display, is the Hardware Accelerate Composition, Layer, and Footage Panels option enabled?
Does enabling or disabling that control make a difference?
Does zooming in on the composition view change the result?
To answer you questions, no I did not have that option enabled, but after I tried it the thin line was still visible.
The line seems to be there no matter how far I zoom in or out and is showing up in my exports.
Can you share a project file that demonstrates the problem?
