this finds the w and the first digit, and changes the combination to the digit only.
or you could use a look-ahead: Find \<w((?=\d) and leave the change field blank.
Can you explain?
\<w((?=\d) matches all w that starts a word and is followed by a digit, but does not include the digit in the match. Leaving the change field blank replaces the found text with nothing, effectively deleting it.
