Has any one else noticed after updating InDesign CC 2016 recently that the High Quality Display of vector files are not as sharp as it was before the update? Then there's the GPU option that only works for the newest of iMacs and Mac Pros. The vector files look thicker and not as sharp as it did before. I don't have a new iMac to test to see if enabling GPU will make the vector art sharper or not.
Appreciate any inputs!
You could try working with "Overprint Preview" on.
That should give the best screen representation of placed vector graphics.
I haven't observed any difference in the preview of vector graphics in the CC 2015.4 update. There has been no change in the way the graphics display is handled using your CPU in the new build (if you were using the new GPU feature you would).
I'd agree with Uwe's suggestion.
