Today, a pop-up window from Adobe reported that there was an update available for Flash Player. I installed the update, but the update also installed McAfee Security Scan Plus without any warning or any option to opt-out from installing this software.
The problem I have now is that I am already running an antivirus (a paid version of Avast Internet Security), which started reporting issues caused by McAfee (I guess it's because both have overlapping antivirus features).
I would appreciate any help with uninstalling this software. So far, I've tried the standard uninstall process and a software provided by Microsoft Support (I have a paid subscription), but to no avail. The uninstall process always fails, and I was told that the only way to get rid of this unwanted software is to reinstall Windows 10 from scratch.
