I am running Lightroom version: CC 2015.6 [ 1078672 ] on Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit, fully updated. Every time I click on the Map module tab, Lightroom stops working and crashes. I created a new, empty catalog, same thing, click on the Map tab and Lightroom crashes. In the Windows Application Log, I get an Event ID: 1000, and here are the details:

Any help resolving this issue is most appreciated.
This crash is generally due to incomplete Windows updates.
Could you please make sure you have all Windows updates installed?
Also, make sure you have Service Pack 1 installed.
Windows updates are 100% current and properly installed, as well as Service Pack 1.
Thanks for the update.
Would suggest you to reset Lightroom Preferences: Resetting (or 'Trashing') the Lightroom Preferences file | Lightroom Forums
If that does not help, you should reinstall Lightroom application through the Creative Cloud application.
