Why is my Adobe Stock image pixelating when I place it in InDesign?

I am a former Fotolia and DollarPhotoClub member.  I did not have any issues choosing .eps files for Illustrator or .jpg for Photoshop in the past.  Always when I placed the images in InDesign they were crystal clear for the large banners (4'x8') that I make.  Now, sadly, every photo I download for use on my banner templates are pixelating at full size.  I convert to .pdf before sending to the banner company, but always get an error message back from them telling me my images are pixelated.  I've tried smart objects, upping the resolution, changing the size....nothing seems to work!  ANY one out there who has a suggestion?
