Hello! I make and update maps for a living and often update maps that I created and have old versions of. Before I make a delivery I pan through the final version and highlight potential issues. It’s helpful to have an older version because I can often look at the older version and see if they accepted it the same way last time. It can be tough to find the same location you are looking at on an older map. Is there any way that I can make 2 PDF's track each other’s movements IE zoom/panning. Can I make it so that while on one screen while I'm panning through the new chart, my other screen is mimicking my movements in an older PDF/map? I currently use Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional to look at the new version and Adobe Acrobat Reader to see the old version.
No, there's no option to do that automatically. The closest you can get is by using a script, like this one I've developed: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat/Reader - Synchronized Scrolling Two (Or More) PDF Documents
However, Acrobat 6 is extremely old and not compatible with any current operating systems, so there's a good chance you'll get all kinds of weird problems if you use it, if you can get it to run at all.
