If I start the animation from the beginning, sound will play. But, when I pause it and hit play again, the sounds stops. I have to run it back to the beginning to get the sound to play again. I'm trying to animate a video to the beat of a song, and it's very hard to do this when I have to run it back to the beginning every time to hear any sound. What do I do to fix this? Can it be fixed?
Select the sound in the timeline and in Properties change its sync to be Stream instead of Event. If you find that Stream is grayed out that means you're using HTML5 Canvas, which doesn't support that.
If you final animation has to be HTML5, then still use an ActionScript 3 FLA to set up the timing of the sound to the animation, and then either convert that to HTML5 Canvas, or copy and paste the layers into an HTML5 Canvas FLA.
You are likely to run into sync issues if you're playing a demanding animation as HTML5 on a slower device.
Thank you so much! It's working now.
