I am sure it is obvious but I can not figure it out. I have a video and I just want crop in from the start. Not pan or zoom, just crop. I can find everything but that in the help/videos. The camera was too far back and I just want to crop in right from the start.
Cropping will remove the sides and/or top of your video, leaving it floating in your video frame -- which doesn't sound like what you're trying to do.
It sounds more like you want to scale the video up so that a section of your video fills the frame. If that's the case, select the clip on your timeline and click the Applied Effects button. In the Applied Effects panel, open Motion and increase the Scale. You can also adjust Position too if you need to.
However, do note that increasing the scale of your video will "blow out" or reduce its resolution. In other words, the larger you scale your video, the fuzzier it will look.
Just so you know that going in.
Thanks so much!
