Premiere Elements 12. iMac. I have recordings with mono sound on one stereo track, the other track is empty. How do i split the stereo track to be able to put the mono sound on both stereo tracks? Using both tracks on my video camera for different sounds, eg two people talking with separate mics is a normal way of shooting. But the audio ends up as one stereo track when imported into Premiere Elements, and I have found no way to separate the tracks to be able to work with them individually.
Go to Effects/Audio Effects and use either the Fill Right or Fill Left effect to spread the mono track over both channels.
Thanks. It worked. Does not show in the graphic representation in the time line, but it sounds right, and audio meters show that there is audio on both tracks.
