Which browser are you having a problem with? Which OS and version?
No problem on Intel iMac OS X 10.5.6, Safari 3.2.1, Quicktime 7.6.0
Crashed for me. Windows XP SP3, Firefox 3.0.7 and I think the browser
was using SW11, but I can't be sure unless you add that info to your SW
You should report this to Adobe so that they at least know of it even if
they can't provide a fix (it sounds like a QT bug)
It doesn't seem to matter which version of shockwave as long as it's 8.5 or above. The problem only seems to surface on Windows (2000 and XP tested) and I've tried both IE and Firefox.
It did not crash for me on Windows XP SP3, IE7. I have QT 7.6.
I experienced QT crashes in Director a while back. This was with QT 7. I reported
it to Adobe and I think QT 7.1 fixed the problem. So, I'd suggest you install the
latest QT and see if it still happens.

I'm also running XP Pro SP3 with IE7 and QT 7.6 and it still crashes. Sometimes it won't show the video, but if I wait a few seconds before going back to the video, it will then crash. I've tried this on many different computers including 2000, XP Pro (both SP2 and SP3), and XP Home (both SP2 and SP3) using IE6, IE7, Firefox 2 and 3 and all exhibit the same behavior. If I install QT6, then the problem goes away.
