How do you creating pdfs from editable html

Any one know how to do this?

In essence we have a document that we publish each quarter for a franchise company. We create the print ready pdf in indesign. In the pdf there are 2 areas that we would like to be able to change. An image and text. What we would like to be able to do is publish the base pdf on the web where the franchisee would be able to edit the text area and the image area. Once the franchisee is happy they save and the new pdf is created ready for print. We would be able to have 40+ customised pdfs that we could send to the printers.

I don't understand what it has to do with "editable HTML"... It's just a PDF file, no?

If that's the case then you can add form fields to achieve what you described.

A text field for the textual input and a button field (set up correctly) for the image.

Keep in mind, though, that if the users only have the free Adobe Reader they will only be able to import images if they are in PDF format.

You use Acrobat to convert the web page to a PDF by any of the possible methods provided by Acrobat. These include printing the page using Adobe PDF printer, the Web Converter, opening the HTML file in Word and use PDF Maker to create a PDF, etc. Now you can use the Prepare Form tool in Acrobat to add form fields.

              Thank you for your response.

It is a little more complex as we have a print ready pdf that is published online (not sure if this can be the original pdf or has to be html or javascript) with some areas that are editable. The viewer logs in to the web page and then selects the areas they wish to edit. Once the viewer has edited the fields online they save their edits. When they save it creates a print ready pdf in clmyk ready for print.

There are about 40 different people login in hopefully creating 40 unique pdfs.

We need to start with a print ready pdf, publish online and then have the viewer create their print ready pdf automatically. jumping around from programs will create just as much work for us. We are trying to automate this.
