thnx for your fast answer. I use Windows.
I don't totally get the solution, do I have to go to the control panel on the computer or in lightroom?
I tried this in Windows and I changed the numbers but Lightroom still crashes when I open Edit > Preferences.
Which version of Lightroom are you using?

I am on Windows 10.
So, Search for Region in Windows Search.
- Open Region.
- Select Additional settings.
- In Digit Grouping ,Change the number format from 123456789 to any other like 12,34,56,789.
- Click Apply,Ok
I found it, I changed the numbers a couple of times but Lightroom still crashes. I use Lightroom 6.
Follow the steps below:-
- With Lightroom close navigate to
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences (Where AppData is a hidden/system folder so you may need to enter the folder name directly into your Explorer address bar or enable hidden/system folders in Explorer folder view options.)
- Open the file LightroomPreferences.agprefs
- Search for the line Use autobahn=True(Press CTRL+F)
- Change it to Use Autobahn=False
- Once Done save the File
- Restart Lightroom
showPublishServiceIcons = true,
useAutoBahn = False,
whiteBalanceLoupeSize = 9,
whiteBalanceShowLoupe = true,
whiteBalanceToolSticky = false,
This is the changed version. I think I did it the right way, but stil Lightroom crashes
Please try and disable the GPU from the Device Manager, once you disable it then you make the changes to Preferences in Lightroom.
- Open Control Panel<< Device Manager<< Display Adapters
- Right Click on the Graphics card
It works!!!! The computer didn't save the document when i changed it from true to false.
Thanks for all your help!!
Thanks for the update.
Ignore the suggestion i gave in my previous reply(about disabling graphics card) and revert back those changes you made any.
Now you need to make sure your Graphics card drivers are up to date.
Glad to know it is working.
