Working on a file created by another designer who can no longer be reached, I'd like to learn how this was done and how to tweak it: widows (short words at end of paragraph) are being automatically fixed by forcing down an extra word. Since some of the columns are narrow, in some cases the result looks worse than it would with the widow. Can fix this manually but would prefer to adjust settings. I've just learned this can be done with GREP styles but there don't appear to be any of those used in this file. I thought perhaps it might be a setting in Adobe Composer but this style was set to Single-Line. (In either case I'd like to know if there's a way to adjust Composer preferences). Any thoughts how this was set and how I can adjust it?
"widows (short words at end of paragraph) are being automatically fixed by forcing down an extra word"
Change format: character style with No Break
Could also be a non-breaking space inserted before the last word.
