Is there an error message? If so, please quote the exact complete unedited word-for-word error message, leaving nothing out.

Do the images appear in the Import dialog box and then don't import? Or do the images never appear?

Have you checked your hardware to make sure all cables to and from the camera are properly inserted?

I have a similar issue on a windows 10 laptop with LR version 3.6

As soon as I click the "Import" button, windows tells me that the program has stopped responding and gives the following error message: "Adobe Photoshop Lightrom 64-bit has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have the same problem on my windows 7 desktop.  As soon as I click import it says (Not Responding) and greys out the screen.  It worked perfectly for a year and suddenly a week ago it started doing the Not Responding.  I can't import anything.    I have uninstalled and reinstalled LR.   This is my system / software info.

Is the Destination Panel in the Import Dialog box present and expanded? Is a valid destination selected?

See attached for what the screen looks like.  This happens as soon as I click the import button.  The Not Responding message comes up at the very top and then the screen geys out.  I never get the chance to select where I want to import from.

                  Thank you for your help.
