Make sure you have the proper serial number for whatever version of Lightroom you are installing (what version is that, anyway?)
You can't use a Lightroom 5 serial number if you are installing Lightroom 6.
You can retrieve your serial number from your account at the Adobe web site: Find your Adobe product serial number quickly
I purchased from Amazon and still have the original serial number in the email but now it won't accept it
I forgot to mention above the version is Lightroom 6
Is the serial number 6 groups of 4 digits, no characters? Answer yes or no, do not type your serial number in here.
What version of Lightroom did you purchase from Lightroom? What version of Lightroom have you installed?
Yes it is a proper serial number witht he 6 groups of 4 digits, that is in my email from when I made the purchase in Jan this year
Lightroom version 6
However my serial number will now not be accepted so I now have no lightroom!
Exactly what happens? What is the error message?
Are you 100% sure you are typing it properly? Or have you done a copy and paste?
I tried both typing and copy and paste and it said the serial number cannot be recognised and to contact adobe support. I tried using time machiine to go back to when lightroom was installed and now it brings up this message
Please uninstall and reinstall the product.
If this problem still occurs, please contact Adobe technical support for help, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of this screen.
However I still cannot reinstall due to serial number issues
Have you tried contacting Adobe support? Usually Live Chat can fix these things.
I am trying to find a way to contact them but just suggests using the forum, do you have a direct link?
The forum is really for technical support, not serial number issues. No, I do not have a direct link.
