Does CC need Akamai to be active?

    - JM - Level 3

It appears that the only application using Akamai Net Session is Adobe. Is this needed for CC to work?

      thank you,

Thank you Rajashree for the response -

I had read the Adobe Akamai FAQ but there is a discrepancy in the information in the article and the list of software that the FAQ applies to. So I'm back to the same question. As a result of the error in the Adobe document I don't know what applications are effected.

Does CC or CS6 require Akamai Net Session?

The information in the Adobe/Akamai FAQ:

Some Adobe trial products use Akamai Download Manager, also called the Akamai NetSession Interface. Trial products that use Akamai include Acrobat X Pro, Adobe Captivate, and the Technical Communications Suite.

The following list are the applications that the document applies to, but it does not mention Acrobat X Pro or Adobe Captivate. So I assume that the list below is not a comprehensive/complete.

          Adobe Audition

          Adobe OnLocation CS

          Adobe Premiere Elements

          Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5

          After Effects CS5.5

          Bridge CS5.5

          ColdFusion Builder

          Creative Suite CS5.5

          Device Central

          Dreamweaver CS5.5

          Flash Catalyst CS5.5

          Flash Professional CS5.5

          InCopy CS5.5

          InDesign CS5.5

          Photoshop Elements

          Photoshop Extended

          Technical Communication Suite

          Visual Communicator

          eLearning Suite
