Can you share your config.xml file? Remove any identifying information (especially API keys, if present) that you don't want the public to know about, though.
Here is my config file:

I just create one of the sample apps with:
ionic start myApp tabs
The app ran OK in the browser and in the PhoneGap app on my Android phone, but gives the same error when I try:
phonegap remote run android
Before I started using Ionic, I could remote run some simple phonegap apps I created with no problems, but they also give this error now.
I have the same issue. I have an app which have been buliding fine for a very long tine and then I upgraded to latest version of the phonegap client and I get the same error.
Nothing have changed in my project other than never version of the phonegap-cli. I've tried multiple different node versions and get the same result.
Kinda urgent for me since I've got some bug fixes in my app I need to push to the app stores and now I'm not able to build...
Are any of you behind a proxy?
Note: If you have to build urgently, a temporary solution might be to downgrade back to a CLI version that you know worked. Perhaps not ideal, but the CLI and the platforms are district, so you should be able to downgrade (within reason) without major consequences.
I am not behind a proxy. How do I downgrade?

I have worked around the problem with:
- Uninstall nodejs and delete all cache directories. Restart. Install nodejs 4.4.7. This step may be optional, as I felt I had fiddled so much with npm dependencies that I was in an unknown state.
- Install phonegap: npm install -g phonegap@latest
- Check version: phonegap -v (6.3.0)
- Ran: phonegap remote run android (failed with same error)
- Downgrade phonegap: npm install -g email@example.com
- Check version: phonegap -v (6.2.9)
- Ran: phonegap remote run android (success - problem solve!)

This worked for me with phonegap 6.3.0
phonegap remote --no-proxy build android
I am not using a proxy but phonegap must be using something. See here:
