    Import not responding

      Today, after several years of using Lightroom 4.4, the program stopped responding to Import. It will not let me select a source, it just hangs.

          What is your OS?
          What type of files are you trying to import from where to where??

          Provide as much detail as possible please, thanks.

            Thanks for your attention.

             

            OS = Win 7 Home Premium. I am using Lightroom 4.4. It worked well the previous day.

            Trying to add DNG files from external hard drive to catalogue.

             

            All that has happened is that I get the hourglass and nothing else. The program will not let me select a source for the import.

              OK - The problem seems to lie with another drive on my system. I have unplugged all the other USB drives (6) and Lightroom now allows me to add the files from my source drive. I will have to check them all individually to see which one is causing the problem.
