The best way to check this is the History panel as it tells you what is being done with your images.
Check the History panel and if you see that Auto Tone is getting applied to your images, Follow the steps below.
There is a possibility that you have "Auto Tone Sync" or "Apply auto tone adjustments" in Lightroom.
- Make sure that this option is unchecked in Preferences>>Presets.
- Check that you are not applying Auto tone preset to your images when you import them.
Open the Import window and select None in the"Apply during import" panel as illustrated below.
I have looked at the presets and I don't even have the Apply the Auto Tone presets option under the Preferences window.
Somehow my pics are still getting screwed up though.
I figured it out. If I convert my RAW images in Adobe DNG converter, Lightroom won't change the pics when they are imported and selected.
I'm not sure if there's something different in the RAW image converter with the Lightroom program and the DNG converter, but I'm just going to convert them in the DNG converter from now on out.
