Images are less clear/pixelated when printed

I am placing images that have been photoshopped (by me) into InDesign.  They appear pixelated in InDesign - which I know helps the program operate quicker, but when they are printed they still appear pixelated.  In Photoshop they look crisp and clear, but when they are moved to InDesign they print terribly.  The images are not being stretched in InDesign (which would understandably create pixelation).  They are .psd images when I bring them into InDesign.

Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated!
