My copy of Lightroom CC on Windows 10 keeps crashing every time I try to import images. Even if I don't import anything and just stay in the Import section of the program it will eventually crash. I noticed this happen once it had updated to the latest version of the program. My system is only 2 weeks old, all my parts are new and my graphics card (Nvidia GeForce GTX970) is only a year old. Is anyone else having this issue? I am getting extremely frustrated as this is preventing me from doing my work!

I have done remote assistance with Adobe Staff twice. The first time resolved it after a reboot and it was closed off as resolved, the second time I had absolutely no help from the staff who didn't seem at all interested to what the issue was and he was not making any attempts to get the remote session working correctly!
Hi, I just had the same problem where Lr would work just fine until I clicked 'Import' when it crashed. I scoured various forums some of which recommended I turn off GPU accelerator which i did. I am using Lr CC btw.
I then got bored and stopped watching a 'not responding' Lr when the import screen appeared (WTF?) but it was another five minutes before the left-hand tab began to appear where the cards and folders are listed. Then nothing for another five minutes. And there is nothing wrong with the performance of my PC.
I then noticed the little blue light on my card reader flashing. I pulled out the two cards (a CF card and an SD card) and the Lr import screen just began working fine.
As an acid test, I plugged both cards back in and Lr Import worked fine. I am unable now to replicate the problem which may be not much help to others but it now works so I'm a happy boy.
