Are you working on network files? If, yes try to save them locally and then execute your workflow.

It seems to be working OK locally, which is fine in the mean time. Is there something I can do to get it to work on the network?
I work with a team of 3 other designers who have all had similar issues since our latest upgrade about 3 weeks ago. We all need to be working on network files as we share a lot of work.
We are working on a fix for this issue. The fix is likely to be available before the end of this month.
Meanwhile, work on the files locally and then save to the network to share the work with your team.

We have released InDesign CC 2015.4.1 today.
The above mentioned issue has been resolved in this update.
The update will show up in the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application.
