Ok following along it becomes a bit confusing, let me list what I did
As I mentioned I was able to create a slideshow triggered by 3 buttons / 3 images
But now those images are inside an object name called SLIDESHOW 1 as images and each image is a state
So now I need to select each image inside SLIDESHOW1 to do the second half of this, now
How do I trigger the next function?
Common sense tells me I need to have each image in SLIDESHOW 1 AS A BUTTON NOT AN IMAGE,
then create the full screen states for each image which would then become a button. But when I tried that before the original slideshow triggered by the circle buttons only worked when the images were images not buttons follow?
Did I miss something here?
Can I post a package file as its possible I'm not explaining correctly
3 images in a frame
3 small circle buttons set to ( go to state)
Need to take each image in the frame and convert to button ( did that already)
so when each is tapped it will open full screen image.
getting confused with the second part.
Can I post so someone can have a look?
Mr. Levine, you are the master so I'm directing this to you. After looking at a few tutes and the link you sent I was able to figure the first part out.
I have 3 buttons
created 3 images and made those images an object state, buttons work fine.
But the problem here is I ALSO need those images in the object state to be clickable and when clicked they open the same images but full screen.
So I did another test and this time instead of creating an object state for the images I created buttons out of the images and made an object state out of the large images but when I go to select the states the button states in the button navigation do not come up, only object states seem to work.
You need to combine it all into one large MSO and put buttons in each state of the MSO to go to the proper state.
Have you watched my course on lynda.com? It might help you.

Ah! there is a God!
thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!
Ok know a lot more now but the course leaves out a few important facts.
Should be simple for you to direct me. I'm sure you know how IBooks Author works. What I need to do is to create what the slideshow widget would do.
FIRST I need to be able to SWIPE an small image to reveal another
then be able to TAP the same image for a full screen preview.
I do not see the swipe command in the event list , I used OnClick and in an IPad it taps and swipes, this would be a problem if I need the tap feature to open a full screen follow?
last is the images need to be buttons so I can assign more than one task ( in this case a swipe command to go to the next image AND a tap command to open THAT image in FULL Screen. Follow?
A bit more complicated than the course covers, any help?
That type of interactivity (swiping to reveal something) is not available in InDesign. That’s why it’s not included.
