      Hi,
      I'm trying to assign the system time to a variable to control the time when a movie acess to a external file. But i can't find a way to do this, i mean, to get the system time. If anyone have an ideia how to do it please let me know.

          _system.milliseconds is the integer number of milliseconds from the time the computer was turned on

          _system.time() is a string representing the actual clock time in the form 1:30 PM

          if you want to parse the time string and convert to 24 hour time you can use this:

          timeStr = _system.time()
          hours = value(timeStr.char[1..(offset(":",timeStr)-1)])
          minutes = value(timeStr.char[(offset(":",timeStr)+1)..(offset(" ",timeStr)-1)])
          if timeStr contains "PM" then hours = hours + 12

            and
            (the systemDate).seconds
            or
            framesToHMS( (the systemDate).seconds, 1, 0, 0 )
            represent a couple more options
