I am taking Adobe Animate as a class for Grad school. I am using the most updated version of Animate, however, the class uses the 2013 Flash CC book for lessons. In lesson 7 I have to use Media Encoder to convert video files for the Animate lesson project. What the book is asking the videos be converted to is no longer available due to updates. I'm just learning all of this so I don't know what the equivalent of what I need is. The original file's format is H.264 and the Preset is Match Source - High bitrate and the lesson is asking me to convert to Format F4V and Preset Web - 320x240, 4x3, Project Framerate, 500 kbps. Please Help!!!
Support for FLV, and it seems F4V, was dropped some time ago. You may need to check with your teacher if you can do say MP4/H.264 at those same settings. Or, if you look at the CC menu, Apps tab, you can install previous versions of the apps, to then be using the version from 2013. Not sure if that will be old enough, you may need to install the CS6 version.
