You need to turn off the Graphics Processor from the Lightroom preferences, since its not opening you need to do that with Lightroom closed.
Please follow the below steps.
- Go To Edit>>Preference>>Performance>>Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" If this does not solves the issue then,
- With Lightroom closed
- Navigate to
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences (Where AppData is a hidden/system folder so you may need to enter the folder name directly into your Explorer address bar or enable hidden/system folders in Explorer folder view options.)
- Open the file LightroomPreferences.agprefs
- Search for the line Use autobahn=True(Press CTRL+F)
- Change it to Use Autobahn=False
Once Done save the File
3. Also refer this link and update Graphics Processor if you use AMD card
Let us know if that helps
Hi, thanks! But how do I go to edit/preferences with lightroom closed?
First of all, update Lightroom to the latest version, 6.6.1, which you can download from here: Keeping Lightroom Up-to-Date
If that doesn't fix the issue, try editing the preferences file. (and the file name is not "LightroomPreferences.agprefs" as Mohit Goyal writes, but Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs)
Use Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences
Open the file Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs in a text editor, like Notepad.
Close to the end of the file there is a line that says useAutoBahn = true, - change this to useAutoBahn = false,
Save and close the file. Now try to start Lightroom.
Thanks for the replies! Unluckely they did not help me:
I have changed for true to false for the AutoBahn, this had no effect.
I think my Lightroom is updated as I reinstalled it because of this problem.
I do not think I have AMD card as a grapic processor, any ways my computer says that the card that I have is updated.

Your Lightroom is not updated, the crash report says version 6.0, and the latest is 6.6.1.
Please follow the link in my previous post, and download and install the update.
True, I updated it now and it worked. Thanks!
