I wish to use captions in InDesign as a way of auto-referencing linked files for proofing purposes,
only minus the file extensions (as these aren't relevant to our referencing).
I know its possible to use GREP styles to hide the extension for a static caption,
but I wish to keep the reference as a live caption for continual live updating in the case of future revisions.
So is there any way to hide the file extension with live captioning??
This is workaround:
1- Photoshop, open image then go to File>file info>document title: apply title name.
2- Indesign, Object>captions>caption setup>metadata>select Title from drop down menu.
Hope it work for you
The same question, but I don't have Photoshop.
any idea if I can find this workaround in GIMP or PIXELMATOR??
