Thank U. I will try that later. AFAI can tell, there are 2 locations for this dll, 1 is in the windows system 32 and the other is in the \SysWOW64 folder. Can I just download and install the dll into those 2 folders, or would it be better to 're-install' as u suggest?
I uninstalled the 3 older pairs of the Visual C++ ... I had on my system (3 in the sys32 and 3 in the SysWOW64 folder, interestingly the .dll's remained) and installed the 2015 version of the Vis C++. L.R. still crashed with the same error and the .dll version number is the same. I renamed them oldmsvcr100 and un-installed and re-installed the 2015 version of the Vis C++. there were no new msvcr100.dll's (I guess I was assuming the Vis C++ 2015 would install them, but I assumed wrong. If I try to launch L.R. again I get the .dll is missing (no surprise?) I named the .dll in the sys32 folder back to the original name, and L.R. crashes again with the original issue. So L.R. uses the .dll in the system32 folder. So I'm back to square one.
Any additional suggestions?
Question - does anyone know what event name BEX64 is?
