Have you changed any export settings? Are you exporting as sRGB? How are you viewing (what software are you using) the photos outside of Lightroom?
Can you show us a screen capture?
What version NUMBER of Lightroom? What operating system?
Lastly, why are you using a backup catalog anyway? Those shouldn't be used for anything except in the unfortunate situation where your original catalog is not available. Does the photo export properly from the original catalog?
I am using the latest version of Lightroom CC on Windows 8. After export I am viewing the images on my computer screen and my on my phone, with the same result. No changes to export settings, and yes sRGB
A box will every few weeks pop up asking me if I'd like to backup my catalog, I assumed I was supposed to do this. Leason learned..
I've compared the first exported image prior to the back to the new exported image after backup to the same image that I just exported in Lightroom library and Lightroom is showing the exact coloring of the first image that is prior to the backup not the one its currently exporting with the color change.
I have gone and removed the image from the library and reopened it from my computer back to Lightroom library with the same result. All images saved in my computer are backed by Lightroom which I was unaware of this.
I know its the backup affecting all my photos because I've tested this on 20 or so images, also its not affecting my new imports this way.
If there is no fix for this it has ruined 5 sessions I was working on, three of them are newborn sessions... I am freaking out
How do I get a screen shot on here?
Thank you for your help!
I am using the latest version of Lightroom CC
I want the version number, because we have seen far to many instances where Lightroom didn't update, and the user thought they were up to date, and were not up to date.
After export I am viewing the images on my computer screen
Could you please state what software you are using to view the images on your screen?
Lightroom CC 2015. I'm viewing them from the folder saved to my Dell desktop
In Lightroom, please go to Help->System Info and report what version of Lightroom is shown there.
I'm viewing them from the folder saved to my Dell desktop
What software opens up to allow you to view the photo? Please tell me the NAME of the software.
Please show us a screen capture of the photo after export, and the photo in Lightroom.
I don't know what software I'm using, I am not computer smart at all, I am sorry. Could you tell me how to find it and how to attatch a screen shot to this forum?
CC 2015.6 on Windows 10
Ok, let's try a different approach.
See if these instructions fix the problem: How do I change my monitor profile to check whether it’s corrupted? - The Lightroom Queen
To attach screen captures: FAQ: How do I capture and post a screen shot or video?
the middle image is before backup, the last image is with the color change after backup was done
I don't think checking my monitor profile is gong to fix the issue because the images I've imported after I did the backup, the coloring is fine and the images are not changing. It seems that the backup has changed the color tone of every image I have stored in Lightroom up until that point
You keep talking about backups. Could you explain this a little more? Exactly what did you do?
Does the original catalog file exist? Can you open that, export one of these photos and see how it looks?
Every few weeks a backup catalog little box pops up asking if I would like to backup my catalog and I check the ok. I have tried to open the original catalog file by removing the image from Lightroom and reopening it but the image is doing the same thing
I have tried to open the original catalog file by removing the image from Lightroom and reopening it but the image is doing the same thing
I do not understand this sentence. You can't open a catalog "by removing the image". When you say the image is doing the "same thing", exactly what "same thing" are you referring to?
I've removed the image from Lightroom, I go to the folder that syores all mt photos on my desktop and click on the image and open it open it in Lightroom, I then export that image and the color change is still happening. The images that are stored on my desktop are put there by lightroom, I know this bescause the LR logo briefly appears before the image comes through
I still think the problem is the photo viewer you are using. Since we don't know what software it is, the only thing I can do is guess.
Please try these instructions and see if the problem goes away.
Ok, I'll give that a try. But if thats the case why arent the newer imported images, the ones that were loaded after I did the backup not being affected the same way. Also I am emailing the images to my phone and the color issue showing up on my phone exactly as it is on my computer screen
