My small company works for an International Corporation producing training materials which are translated into 40+ languages and viewed by thousands of employees around the world. The translators are part of the InDesign workflow.
Currently we create interactive animated presentations in Adobe InDesign CC which are exported to .swf and played in a web browser. These include audio, videos and fairly complex animations.
Because Flash is being discontinued and isn’t supported on mobile devices we need to explore the possibility of exporting to HTML.
I need to understand if we can continue to use the animation and interactivity available in InDesign without .swf export.
Thanks for the reply. I will certainly contact ajar productions to see if they can help with a solution.
Muse or similar is not really an alternative because, as I say, there is a huge amount of translation to be done (scores of presentations in 42 languages) and the translation house (dozens of translators who are not designers) work in InDesign. They won't be able to cross train into a web authoring tool.
