Are you using Character Animator (Preview 4)? If not, can you try updating (it's part of the After Effects CC 2015.3 update) to see if that helps?
What version of Windows are you on?
Do you know which GPU you have in your machine (e.g., Intel integrated graphics, or NVIDIA or AMD discrete graphics)? Maybe see if updating to the latest qualified/supported graphics driver helps?
I'll past in full error message below and then answer your questions
I'm using Windows 10 with the update that came out a week or so ago. I have an AMD Radeon HD 7600m
Series card and I updated to the latest driver, I also reinstalled After Effects after updating the driver. I'm using the latest version as part of the Creative Suite.
Been tinkering over the weekend and I think I've found the solution. Thought you might like to know. I Just changed the Switchable Dynamic Graphics global setting to Maximize Performance and presto is works.
Don't know if that will cause any other problems, but hey it works.
The only other issue I'm getting is the Ray Tracing error shown below.
Thanks for your help and suggestions, much appreciated.
Glad you found a workaround.
As for the ray-tracing warning, can you post that issue in the After Effects forum (After Effects ), as that is AE-specific. I'm not sure why that NVIDIA-specific CUDA warning appears on a machine with AMD graphics.
