softproofing in CMYK (ISOcoated etc) on a calibrated monitor was the reason for me to update to LR6. It worked fine. Offset printjobs on coated paper looked like the softrpoofing in Lightroom. GREAT!
Now I upgraded my PC with an SSD and installed Windows 10 and all my Software new. Now LR (6.6.1) cant softproof with CMYK-Profiles any more. This ist TERRIBLE! Will Adobe reactivate the CMYK-softpoofing?
CMYK was pulled due to the bugs in various areas of the app.
CMYK wasn't actually working correctly. Not sure what areas or in what ways, though. Adobe just removed it, entirely, at least for the time being.
If you feel it was working for you in the limited ways you were using it, then maybe roll back to a previous LR 6 version by uninstalling the latest, reinstalling 6.0 then whatever patch you want afterwards that still does CMYK. If the previous version did, then 6.5.1 would be what to roll back to. If that already didn't have CMYK and 6.4?
You can get the original 6.0 installer and the various update patch installers, here:
thanks for your support. I installed LR 6.0 and it works. Great!
