Are you entering the Apple password e.g. the administrator password normally used to start the Mac and authorize software changes?
Yes I am - if I enter the wrong password I will receive an error, and that does not occur.
Has the CC desktop app ever been installed previously? Check in Applications. If so try starting from launch pad.
Or try downloading again.
Yes, it was briefly working. Then it was uninstalled, and all adobe files deleted.
Now the installer found in that link will download, but it wont install the CC desktop app.
Does the CC app require files/folders already on the mac before it is installed - apart from the installer itself of course?
It should work from the installer. Usually by a double-click on set up or on the package in downloads.
Normally you can’t uninstall Creative Cloud, if there are installed apps which require it.
You may need to start an on-line chat with an Adobe agent.
