    [Help] Looking for a script that can batch change font size & type Cs 6

    vincentn6406499

      I know this question might've been answer through the forums, but i'm having a hard time looking for the answer. Im working with a document with 200+ pages and would like to find a script that can do a batch change font size & type! This would help me so much with time and instead of going through each document! Thanks! I appreciate it! S6

          First of all it's not quite clear to me how exactly you want to change it:

          1. In the find-change text dialog box
          2. Change the definition in a paragraph style
          3. Change the definition in a character style

          Let's assume you want the 1st option.

          A while ago I wrote the Batch process scripts script. The main idea was to allow a user who has basic scripting skills to make a simple script to run it, say, against all the documents in the selected folder.

          For example, let's imagine that you want to change "Minion Pro" 12pt to "Myriad Pro" 9pt. in all files. Then you can "attach" this script to the batch processor:

          main();

          function main() {
              var doc = app.activeDocument;
              app.findTextPreferences = app.changeTextPreferences = NothingEnum.NOTHING;

              // Find this
              app.findTextPreferences.appliedFont = "Minion Pro";
              app.findTextPreferences.fontStyle = "Regular";
              app.findTextPreferences.pointSize = 12;

              // Change to this
              app.changeTextPreferences.appliedFont = "Myriad Pro";
              app.changeTextPreferences.fontStyle = "Regular";
              app.changeTextPreferences.pointSize = 9;

              doc.changeText();
              app.findTextPreferences = app.changeTextPreferences = NothingEnum.NOTHING;
          }
