I have an article that has multiple figures and tables that could be mentioned several times in the article. For ease of use for the pdf version I am thinking of hyperlinking the words "table 2" to the table. Should I use cross references for this? I don't necessarily want them to clutter up my bookmarks when I export to pdf and epub. (Each article can have 5-10 tables.)
Second part of question: once someone clicks to the table can I embed a "return to last page viewed" button? Can I set this up such that it's only visible on the pdf and not what I export for print? I've not worked with buttons in InDesign before so not sure how they work and file is used for both formats.

Do different appearance of paragraph styles before export or print
