How do you sort images using the star. Each time I select an image and rate the image it moves the location of the image to the end of the film strip and the I have to look through all the images again to get back to the location in the film strip.

There is no sort available by star ratings.

You can filter by star ratings, which is different than sorting. You would use the Filter Bar to do this.

The reason the photos move to the end of the film strip is because you have set the sort order to something that causes this, you might want to change the sort order to capture date. Use the menu command View->Sort

You have to change the sort order to the "recording time" for example.

The sort order is changed on the toolbar in the library module. It seems that Lightroom always defaults to "added order" whenever I import new images. I prefer to have my images in filename order. So I have to remember to adjust the sort order whenever I import.
