    Licensed one image, got another (or did I?)


      I found a vector image of trees I wanted to license, #103981799:

      Now, let's open "AdobeStock_103981799.ai" up in Illustrator:

      That's ... not right at all. Let's open the same file up in Affinity Designer:

      What on earth is going on here?


      It appears that the PDF content of the file is correct (though mirrored, which I've seen before on print spool files), but the AI content is the birds and branch.


      Rather than opening the file, placing it in Illustrator will place the correct artwork. It will appear to be cropped (as in my screenshot), but the vectors are all there if you Flatten Transparency (the file will need to be embedded, not linked) and ungroup and release clipping masks.


      So that's a workaround, but Adobe should really fix this file.
