Convert tiff to dng for validate option

    RP2A03 Level 1

      Hi,

I like the idea of being able to validate my photos to avoid problems like bit rot when if using the dng format. When converting the library I would like to convert the tiff files I have too for the same reasons.

Are there any reason I may not want to do this to my whole library?

How does the conversion handle layers? Should I flatten the tiffs that do contain them?

      Thanks

You'll lose the layers, stick with TIFF! DNG is a great format but use it for raw data.

There are other tools you can use to validate the files for bit rot and such.
