Is there a way to disable highting of the the selected item so that when previewing something (such as setting a table style, with the preview tickbox checked) you can actually see what you're doing?!
I know this is possible in photoshop, I just can't seem to find the same ability in InDesign.
In a table style, you don't need to highlight the whole table to apply the style, just place your cursor inside it.
Same for a Paragraph style.
Open a new window for the file. After opening a dialog and choosing a color fill or stroke with cells selected with the Preview selected, you're viewing the inverse of the color.
Before opening the dialog, open a new window (Window > Arrange > New Window for [filename])
Then in the original window, select the cells you want to preview, open the dialog and select your colors.
In the second window, the colors will be previewed in their correct appearance.
Thank you so much, both of you.
