I am having a problem with making a hyperlink in Indesign. My client has given me some text to add to the bottom of a graphic with has a url at the end for their homepage. However the url hyperlink that I need to add (when the link is clicked on) is a little longer and needs link to a particular section of the clients website.
The problem is I am adding the long url to hyperlinks, saving the file as a pdf, but when I open an click on the link it is only opening the homepage! It is like the browser is reading the text on the page and ignoring the hyperlink.
Has this happened to anyone else and how do I get around it? My deadline is Monday...
Did you create the URL in InDesign's hyperlink panel, as it should be done. If not, Acrobat reads only any URL out of the text and does end with any text break.
Or did you use another PDF viewer than Adobe Acrobat. Only Adobe Acrobat can support the full spectrum of PDF functionality.
