Which version of InDesign? OS? What type of monitor?
Generally speaking, you can reveal more of the things on the right side of Control panel by scaling the resolution of the display.
In Design CS6
LG Gram 14 inch laptop
1920 x 1080 resolution (recommended / highest resolution)
I changed the resolution down to 1280 x 720 and I could see a little more menu. Thanks for that tip.
Sill, if there was an easier solution like scrolling the control panel or opening it on two lines that would be nice.
Is there anyway to access everything in the control panel (even things on the far right) without having to delete things on the left? Maybe there is a way to grab the control panel and scroll it? Or maybe there is a way to open it in two rows instead of one?
Can you post a screen shot? The Control panel does have two rows when you have the Type tool, but you can only view one at a time. There are two buttons on the far left. The A is for the Character panel and the Pilcrow (paragraph symbol) is for the Paragraph panel. You can see part or all of the other panel (row) with a larger monitor; otherwise, switch with the buttons between the two modes (or "rows").
Does that work?
How about a feature request to have the option to move some of these controls in to a thin panel with a side title bar and allow this slim panel to be docked. A choice of vertical or horizontal panel would be really great.
