Thanks! At least I know I'm not the only one with this problem.. The Web Service I am working with is not just a simple Web Service Like Flicker or Google, it's an Enterprise Application Web Service that SAP Supplies. I can't see why someone from Adobe wouldn't just come online and say "Oh we know their are problems" and "We are working on it"... At least give us some confidence that our efforts aren't being wasted..
Me to, and i use Axis for web services (and WebSphere WebServices).
And, if you use bind from text input you get [object Object] in general case
<mx:TextInput x="23" y="101" text="" id="entry1"/>
if you enter any text at textinput and delete it you DONT get "[object Object]" at web service....
if you dont enter text you get "[object Object]" at web service...
if you use variable or other elements its the same.
Sounds like Web Service is all messed up! Since we don't get any feedback from Adobe on this we can only guess they are aware of the problem and working on it. I think we'll have to wait until the next Beta, because they sure couldn't release it like this or additional user community testing....
Ok... This has been improved with BETA 3
I feel good! BETA 3 has make some good progress over BETA 2. When my web service calls work I feel good!
Keep up the good work Adobe/Macromedia and please stay in touch with us users of the forum....
