I'm struggling to work out if it is possible to automatically centre the number in a numbered list against the paragraph to which it relates. (This is in InDesign)
I've written a list, created a paragraph style that includes numbers, defined a character style for the numbers. What I'd like is for the number to be vertically centred against the paragraph to which it relates (so int his example the biggest changes would be for the 1 and the 3 to be lower than they are). I'm aware that I can do this manually by creating the numbers in a separate text box and manually positioning them but it would be helpful to be able to do this automatically (e.g. in case of content changes/to make creating similar lists in other documents easier as well).
