1. Re: Dreamweaver suddenly flaky & slow
Newsgroup_User May 15, 2006 5:30 PM (in response to Kid Red)Try installing the DW 8.0.2 updater, if you haven't already:
http://www.adobe.com/support/dreamweaver/downloads_updaters.html#dw8
DW 8.0.2 includes all of the DW 8.0.1 fixes, and DW 8.0.1 fixed a Mac
performance issue related to the Assets panel:

Newsgroup_User May 15, 2006 11:25 PM (in response to Kid Red)If you have any third part extensions that work with recordsets, I would
advise against installing the update until Adobe provides an update to the
updater.

3. Re: Dreamweaver suddenly flaky & slow
Kid Red May 16, 2006 10:28 AM (in response to Newsgroup_User)Ah, didn't know there was a 8.0.2 update, I'm on 8.0.1 now. THanks, I'll give that a shot.
No extensions, DW is barebones, is the update safe to install? -

Newsgroup_User May 16, 2006 12:55 PM (in response to Newsgroup_User)If you are using 3rd party extensions that do database operations, then you
may not want to update yet. (Until the 3rd Party developers update their
extensions.)
Otherwise, go for it.

5. Dreamweaver suddenly flaky & slow
KCL May 17, 2006 8:56 PM (in response to Kid Red)I have updated and am now getting the beachball of doom. Have had to force quit 10 times in last four hours.
What the heck is going on!? Fresh install. Ran Disk Utiltiy to repair permissions. Rebooted. Still hanging.
It seems to hang after I save a file. It takes a few seconds, but even when I save ALL, it hangs after the first save.
Any ideas?? -
