I have Acrobat X and am working on a project for a client. He wants to digitize his customer records, which consist of handwritten customer information on paper. He plans on scanning 20-30 pages at a time over a period of a month or two.
Most of the papers are formatted with 8 different customers' information written in 2 columns and 4 rows, at about the same area on each page. He wants to split the customers on each page into separate PDF or image files, so that I or my coworker can key in each customer individually into his accounting software.
Is there a way in Acrobat or 3rd party software to split up a single page in this manner? Is there a way to automate this process?

It can be done using a custom-made script and an Action (if you want to process multiple files at once), but you say that the sections are "more or less" the same size, which can be problematic. If they are not always the same then you'll get cut off sections...
