Cost of doing business, perhaps?
Ads are always a privacy concern, and are likely sending analytics about your users anyway. (how else would you get paid for an ad impression?) If you are concerned about privacy, don't use ads in your app.
I don't know if the plugin you reference is safe or not; perhaps someone else will know. Since it is on github, you can look at the code and see if it's doing anything you don't like, though.
thanks for your reply.
I am creating apps for a few customers and they want to display ads. But I wanted to make sure that they get the full revenue - it is hard to explain why a 3rd party developer suddenly shows his ads in the application Furthermore, Admob allows you to analyze the users (not detailed, but still you can get some data). I don't really like the idea that a 3rd party developer is able to monitor the users as well.
I have now chosen to use GitHub - floatinghotpot/cordova-plugin-admob: Basic Cordova Plugin for AdMob
Especially the last answer here helped me with my decision: Does this plugin take 2% of our revenue? · Issue #205 · floatinghotpot/cordova-plugin-admob · GitHub
("Yes, the 2% ad sharing has been removed. You can fork and review the source code.")
Does anybody else use this plugin and has looked into the source code? I don't want to miss something (some sort of "hidden" ad sharing I haven't found in the source code yet maybe?)
